The Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Thanksgiving has kind of crept up on us this year; we’ve had a long hot summer, and haven’t even broken into our Fall wardrobes yet…but that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited about holiday baking! We’ve been working on our Fall Recipe Series to get us into the spirit of the season, and it’s not Fall without one of these…


Luckily for us, we teamed up with Jenn at TheLastCourse.ca to get her recipe for what is definitely the PERFECT Pumpkin Pie! What makes this recipe special is the all-butter crust, that makes the perfect base for the pumpkin filling and doesn’t leave any greasy feeling in your mouth like some short-crust pastries do. There’s subtle hints of spices throughout, but it’s not overwhelming – just a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg. And most importantly, it’s quick and simple – with no crimping or weaving required – meaning you get all the flavour, with none of the fuss! Sounds good to us.

You’ll need to set aside approx. 2 hours from start to finish for this recipe. Here’s the final result!
